TIP COVID-19 RESPONSE

During a public health emergency our work at TIP doesn’t slow down; it ramps up to meet the needs of our front-line public health responders, health care professionals, and the public. TIP is taking all necessary precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by:

  • tracking outbreak data;
  • incorporating recommendations from federal, state, and local health authorities; and
  • taking proactive steps to minimize exposure for our team, partners, and supporters.

TIP is working to combat the COVID-19 pandemic through our mission pillars of:

  • Educating the community;
  • Advocating for evidence-based public policies; and
  • Supporting immunization best practices.

TIP is adapting our programming and events schedule to address the significant needs during this pandemic while conforming to federal, state, and local public health guidelines and recommendations. Our vision is to create a community free of vaccine-preventable diseases, which includes supporting the development of new vaccines. Through the development of safe and effective vaccines, individuals can have confidence in knowing they are protected from many diseases that were once a great source of suffering and death in our society.

To that end, TIP endorses the development of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine to prevent the COVID-19 coronavirus disease and supports our government, academic, and private partners on this endeavor. Thank you again for all you are doing during this time. Together, we can keep our community safe and healthy, and together, we will overcome COVID-19.
