Advocacy Boot Camp
TIP’S 2026 Advocacy Boot Camp!
Register today for Session No. 2 on May 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to noon CT.
Beyond the Shot: How Vaccines Connect to Everyday Life
Vaccines show up in our everyday lives – in our schools, communities, and families. In Boot Camp Session #2, we’ll break down what that really means, answer your questions, and take a closer look at what’s happening with immunizations in Texas right now. We’ll also connect the dots between vaccines and bigger issues like access, equity, and community strength – so you can see where your voice fits and why it matters.
The Program
Join The Immunization Partnership throughout the year for our hour-long virtual advocacy workshops to ensure that school vaccine requirements remain in place, and science-based policy is the standard for Texas.
By joining us during the Advocacy Boot Camp, you’ll:
- learn the ropes of the Texas legislature and explore the state’s political landscape as it relates to immunization.
- understand how immunization connects with other critical issues affecting Texas children.
- learn to counter vaccine skeptics and the stream of misleading claims with the truth about the role of vaccines in protecting Texans from preventable diseases.
- hold state elected officials accountable to keep Texas communities healthy and safe.
- learn how to have kitchen table conversations and advocate for effective immunization policy, giving a voice to people who are at risk of serious illness.
Your participation will help counter falsehoods with the facts about the role of vaccines in protecting Texans from preventable diseases like measles and whooping cough. You will learn how to advocate for sound immunization policies benefiting diverse communities across the state.
Register today for the second session on May 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to noon CT and be a North Star for child health.
