Can children get the COVID-19 vaccine?

The CDC recommends the COVID-19 vaccine for everyone ages 6 months and older to help protect against COVID-19. Vaccinating children from COVID-19 will help protect them and their siblings who may not be eligible yet to receive the vaccine. As always, check with your healthcare provider about what is right for your kids.

COVID-19 Vaccines Videos Project

We have a series of English and Spanish short videos about the COVID-19 vaccines, the product of a unique collaboration between The Immunization Partnership and Amerigroup Texas. And they become especially important as parents and guardians consider the pediatric vaccine for their kids.

The videos encourage vaccination, answer questions about the vaccines, and debunk falsehoods circulating over social media and elsewhere. Such misunderstandings and misinformation contribute to vaccine hesitancy, drive down vaccination rates, and worsen the strain on health workers and resources.

The videos are free, not only to view, but also to download for use in Federally Qualified Health Centers or for other groups or organizations. Take a look, and if you are interested in using the videos, please contact Katy Gore, our Coalitions and Education Program Manager, at
